Your intelligence means fucking nothing if you’re devoid of compassion. Of kindness. Of caring.

There are any number of reasons a person’s brain can be wired not to feel empathy, and any number of people with such brains who are still kind and good people. Humans are amazingly adaptable, and nothing more so than our minds – just because the most typical way of doing a thing is blocked, doesn’t mean the person can’t find another way.

Your message is sound. Let’s just scrape off the ableism.
