alright guys i’ve seen a LOT of analysis posts about season 7 (which are all very good, nice job folks) but i’ve seen little to none about my boy Hunk and that needs to change, because he got SO MUCH development this season…so here i am taking charge and making a summary of Hunk’s arc over the course of the show…this is gonna be hella long so brace yourselves for some hardcore Hunk appreciation
first off, let’s go back to season 1
way back when Allura was describing the lions, she explained that the Yellow Lion was caring and kind.
everything she says about Hunk here is more than true, but at this point, Hunk doesn’t believe it, he’s doubtful about himself as the pilot of the Yellow Lion, and as a pilot in general
at the beginning of the show, Hunk is a very scared guy, at first glance, he appears to be cowardly, i mean,
wow, Hunk. lol. everyone else knows they have to stand up and fight to get the Galra away from Earth, and i genuinely believe that Hunk knows it too, but at this point in the show, he just doesn’t know how to be brave.
Hunk’s character arc is just what Allura says: He needs to learn how to stand up for himself and the others and hold them together – something he ultimately accomplishes by season 7.
