Physically I’m here, but mentally I’m in a small classroom at a liberal arts college in Vermont maybe in the ‘80s studying Classics and toasting to living forever
ppl on facebook sarcastically saying “well why don’t we do 40 year background checks on EVERYONE in congress?? there’d be nobody left!1!!”
…..that’s a great idea, let’s do that!!
Yeah, like, if we got rid of all the pedophiles and rapists and racists and replaced them with good people, how does anyone have a problem with it?
I legit had someone unfriend me after they shared that post and I was like yeah, let’s do that!
Seriously though. If you did a forty year background check on me, you’d find lots of immaturity and stupidity, but you wouldn’t find any sexual assaults or attempted rapes because I’m a decent fucking human being.
Like, this is… not a hot take? This is seriously just keeping abusers out of positions of power. How does anyone have a problem with that??!?
Summary: From up here on the bluffs, it’s as if they can see the whole world from its very edge — the wide, endless expanse of the sky above ink-blue in the west and watery rose-grey in the east, fading seamlessly to meet with the plane of the ocean below.
Or: Gladio puts down his sword for the last time.
Additional Notes: Another one for @gladnoctweek, if a little late!
“So. Not even a little bit, huh?”
“…”
“A small one?”
“…”
“What if it’s puny?”
“You finding this funny?” Gladio grunts.
“I happen to find it hilarious.”
“You would,” Gladio says, leaning back against the stone wall behind them in the dark.
Noct is unfazed, kicking his feet over the side of the ledge with a smirk tugging at his mouth. “A day comes when a man just has to put down his enormous, free-swinging, hard-beaten, two-handed sword,” he says, not quite mournful.
After a very successful debut at MCM London comic con this weekend, I am delighted to inform you that you can now purchase a copy of my beautiful original grimoire/bestiary An Ode to Divine & Dirt in my shop, along with pins and stickers of the front cover glyph.
This whole work may have taken me well over a year to illustrate and write, but it was really a product of decades of exploration and understanding. I am honoured by your support and truly privileged to be able to realise my work in Real Book Format like this. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your interest and encouragement. It has really meant the absolute world to me.
I am proud to hurtle my Big Trans Energy grimoire of monsters, boys and gods into this world, and every purchase is like you’ve slithered in through my window and placed upon my heart a Big Kiss.
On Friday at MCM, this person I’ve never seen before in my life banana’d over to my stall and lay their hands upon my (at that moment, closed) book. They looked me direct in the eyes and said “This has a Big Trans Energy”. I knew we were destined to be friends. I wish I knew who this psychic trans wizard was!!!! Iconic!!!! I’ve thought about this moment every day since!!
